RECOGNIZE YOUR VALUE
God created you in His image and said His creation is good. This world has a way of making each of us feel we are worthless or that we are so valuable that we have no faults. Each is wrong. Each has worth because God said so. None of us has so much worth that we are without fault.
REALIZE THE PROBLEM
Since we all have faults (the Bible calls these faults sin) there is a problem. Our sin separates us from God. God is without faults and will not allow faults to dwell with Him. We must admit we have faults and that there is now way for us to make ourselves faultless.
RECEIVE GOD'S PROVISION
Jesus, who is God with us, died on the cross to pay for our sin. He was buried, yet, rose from the dead on the third day and returned to His Father on our behalf. Realizing our faults is not enough. We must turn from our own will and choose His will and way for us. We must receive Jesus into our lives as Lord and Savior. Lord because we choose Him as our boss and guide. Savior because by choosing Him we escape a life of hopeless sin and eternal separation from Him in hell, a place prepared for demons.
REPORT GOD'S WORK IN YOUR LIFE
Receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior is just the beginning. You will want to unite with a Bible teaching church as soon as possible. You will want to tell this church how you received Jesus and Lord and Savior and ask them to baptize you. Baptism is a picture of what Jesus has done in your life. It portrays His death, burial, and resurrection as well as your new life under His Lordship. The church will teach you how to grow in Jesus and develop in your relationship with Him in service and ministry. If you would like to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, pray the following prayer or one in your own words with full sincerity.
Father, I thank you for the value you place in me. I admit my faults and choose you and your will for my life. I receive the gift of your Son, Jesus, and His death, burial, and resurrection on my behalf. I choose Jesus as my Lord and Savior. As a sign of His Lordship in my life I will as soon as possible unite with a church, be baptized, and live out my life in service to you and ministry to others in your Name. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus Name, Amen
